MAGNUM: More 'Escape From The Shadow Garden' Album Details Revealed

July 8, 2013

Hugely influential British melodic hard rockers MAGNUM will release their 19th studio album, "Escape From The Shadow Garden", in January 2014 via Steamhammer/SPV. A European tour will kick off in March.

Says the band: "MAGNUM have been back in the studio working on the new album for a few months now. [Guitarist] Tony Clarkin had in advance written many many new ideas ready for the new album. He brought the files into M2 studios and started working on what he thought were going to be the best of the bunch. Bob Catley has had chance to get into the studio and put down the vocals on a few of the new tracks even though his jet set agenda sees him on a world tour with AVANTASIA right now. He's been a very busy chap!

"All the bass tracks and drums by Al Barrow and Harry James have been completed now. Tony is still writing lyrics for the album and awaiting Bob's return to finish the vocals. We're expecting Mark Stanway in for keyboards over the next few days. Once again, the artwork will be straight from the illustrative mind of Rodney Matthews. Rodney and Tony have come up with some great concepts for the new artwork."

MAGNUM's latest CD, "On The 13th Day", came out in September 2012.
